Our story

Milk & Honey, by Good Shepherds

Our goats help clear San Diego’s wildfire fuel—and their milk makes our soap. Milk & Honey connects a small daily ritual to the work of caring for a herd and tending the land.

Fire-wise goats. Honest soap.

Good Shepherds uses grazing goats to reduce brush and wildfire fuel. Soap gives the dairy a year-round income stream, helping support shepherds, herd care, and soil regeneration beyond the fire season.

From our herd to your hands

We make cold-process goat milk soap in San Diego, using milk from our own herd. Each batch cures for 4–6 weeks before it is ready. Every bar carries a full ingredient list so you can see what goes into your wash.

Our original Firebreak bar pairs unscented goat milk soap with honey. The Doe series brings four scents to the lineup, each named for a real doe, with her photo and a QR code to her video on the label.

A gift with a story

The Fireline gift box includes three bars, a goat card, and a story insert. Branded bulk gift sets bring the same herd story to grazing clients and local teams. Visit the shop for current availability and shipping details.
